E-Harmony = Fraud????? Definitely a waste of money.

I joined on May 25th and received a match on May 26th. Physically, he was definitely not a match but I decided that maybe he's a great guy. Anyway he never responded. So I finally closed it out on July 12th.

After 48 days of no matches I called eHarmony to complain. She extended my subscription by one month and said she would look into it and see to it that I received some matches. The next day I received four profiles none of which even remotely matched my profile.

The next two days I received four more which were not any better than the others, one was a stretch but I decided to contact him. He never responded. That was July 14th and no matches since and today is Aug 24th. I honestly believe the surge of non-matches I received in July was just to shut me up.

I called eHarmony again, and that Rep said she would look into it and see what she could do. Nothing happened.

I called e-Harmony again on Aug 14th and the Rep was very rude. He was not at all helpful. He told me that I should change my religion entry from Christian to a specific denomination. I couldn't believe it. I was offended and told him that it would only serve to narrow the field. Finally, when I asked to speak to a supervisor, he refused.

On 8/20 I sent an e-mail requesting my money back. The next day I researched the law on fraud and misrepresentation and I forwarded a copy to them and again asked for a refund. I told them that if they did not respond within 24 hours, that I would report them to the "Internet Fraud Complaint Center" who will in turn forward it to federal, state and/or local law enforcement authorities.

It's now been three days no response. Whether I get my money is neither her nor there, it's the principal. I just want to warn others about this supposedly great personal site.
